简介 Introduction

The RTHK Creative Archive website, launched on September 30, 2009, is the first initiative of RTHK to adopt the Creative Commons (CC) copyright license. First phase of contents include video footages, audio clips and photos, covering the developments and various landscapes of Hong Kong.

About Creative Commons

Creative Commons International originally started as a US-based, nonprofit organization in 2001. Hong Kong is the 50th jurisdiction worldwide to adopt the Creative Commons licenses.

Creative Commons (CC) is a new international system of intellectual property rights management through which creators can choose to change their copyright terms from “all rights reserved” to “some rights reserved”.

In 2008, Creative Commons Hong Kong (CCHK) brings the Creative Commons license to Hong Kong by porting them into compliance with Hong Kong’s Copyright Ordinance. It encourages Hong Kong people to respect and share their creative works legally. Violations to the CC license may subject to prosecution for infringement.

What is Creative Commons Hong Kong – Liberal Studies Creative Archive?

Using Creative Commons (CC), an innovative framework for the legal sharing and development of copyrighted information, the Journalism and Media Studies Centre invites members of our creative and information industries to support this novel approach to developing open educational resources for our teachers and students, especially in the area of Liberal Studies.
