(Salary: HK$500 or $700 per session; 9 hours per session)

Entry
Requirements: (a) Form 5 standard with Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent; (b) at least 2 years’ relevant experience; (c) experience in outdoor filming; and (d) preferably with experience as an Assistant Producer/Production Assistant; (e) should be familiar with single camera shooting and film language. (Notes: Applicants may need to attend a skill test.).
(Note : "Grade E" in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to "Level 2" in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE.
Duties: Maintaining log of all shots to ensure all fine details (such as the costumes, actions and expressions of actors and the exact position of props and objects) in each take are matched and recorded;
paying particular attention to in-cue and out-cue of a slot and marking each shot covered in a day of shooting;
acting as an on-site liaison with the production crew and identifying the props for each location to ensure continuity. (Note : Required to work irregular hours/over-night shifts.)
Terms
of Appointment & Fringe Benefits: Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for not more than one year. Rest day, general holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.

Production Assistant (TV Presentation & Subtitling Unit)
(Salary: $9,080 per month)
Entry
Requirements: Candidate should have (a) either (i) Level 2 or above in Chinese language and English Language together with three other subjects at Grade E or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See Note (1)]; and 3 years’ relevant experience in TV production, script writing or translation; or (ii) at least 5 years’ relevant experience; and knowledge of Chinese and English languages at Form V standard, or equivalent; (b) familiar with computer softwares, including Chinese word processing, Photoshop & Flash.

Duties: Responsible for handling and operating character generators; creating Chinese and English captions and rollers; providing sub-titling service in studio and live production; operating HD TV subtitle system; liaising with programme staff for trailer production; producing multimedia materials, such as flash banners. (Note : Required to work irregular hours.)
Terms
of Appointment & Fringe Benefits: Successful candidates will be appointed on one-year-non-civil service contract terms. If the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct, the officer may be granted a gratuity which, when added together with the Government’s contribution to MPF scheme, equals 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, general holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted on terms not less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
