香港特别行政区政府工商及科技局和香港驻多伦多经济贸易办事处在2007年3月10日会为加拿大的大学生及香港留学生举行就业讲座视像会议，以鼓励他们毕业后回港发展。来自不同界别的讲者会介绍回港发展的就业前景及各行业的最新情况。

今年的就业讲座视像会议在3月10日香港时间上午8时30分至10时30分举行(即安大略省3月9日晚上7时30分至9时30分；或卑诗省3月9日下午4时30分至6时30分，及阿省3月9日下午5时30分至7时30分)。由于过去数年就业讲座学生反应热烈，今年的讲座场地会横跨加拿大三省，包括在安大略省的多伦多大学，阿省爱民顿市的Grant McEwan学院，和在卑诗省的西门菲莎大学。参与学生人数达500人。

今年的讲座亦会由香港电台网上广播站安排网上视像直播，让全球学生有机会观看整个过程。

The Commerce, Industry and Technology Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Toronto will organize a career video conference on 10 March 2007 for university students in Canada, particularly those with Hong Kong connections, with the aim of encouraging them to return to Hong Kong for career development after graduation. Speakers from different employment sectors will introduce career prospects in Hong Kong and the latest developments in different fields.

The Hong Kong - Canada Career Video Conference was held on March 10 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. (Hong Kong time), which is 7:30 ― 9:30 p.m. on March 9 in Ontario, or 4:30 ― 6:30 p.m. on March 9 in British Columbia and 5:30 ― 7:30 p.m. on March 9 in Alberta, Canada. In view of the overwhelming demand for more conference spaces over the past few years, this year’s conference had three venues in Canada spanning across 3 provinces viz. the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario; the Grant McEwan College in Edmonton, Alberta; and the Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. The total number of audience was expected to reach 500.
