香港特别行政区政府商务及经济发展局和香港驻多伦多经济贸易办事处在2008年3月15日会为加拿大的大学生及香港留学生举行就业讲座视像会议，以鼓励他们毕业后回港发展。来自不同界别的讲者会介绍回港发展的就业前景及各行业的最新情况。 今年的就业讲座视像会议将会在3月15日香港时间8时30分至10时30分举行(即多伦多及蒙特利尔3月14日晚上8时30分至10时30分；或温哥华3月14日下午5时30分至7时30分)。由于过去数年就业讲座学生反应热烈，今年的讲座场地会横跨加拿大三省，包括在安大略省的多伦多大学，魁北克省蒙特利尔的Sofitel酒店，和在卑诗省的西门菲莎大学。预计参与学生人数达五百人。 今年的讲座亦会由香港电台网上广播站安排网上视像直播，让全球学生有机会观看整个过程。
The Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Toronto will organize a career video conference on 15 March 2008 for university students in Canada, particularly those with Hong Kong connections, with the aim of encouraging them to return to Hong Kong for career development after graduation. Speakers from different employment sectors will introduce career prospects in Hong Kong and the latest developments in different fields. This year, the Hong Kong Canada Career Video Conference will be held on March 15 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. (Hong Kong time), which is 8:30 – 10:30 p.m. on March 14 in Toronto and Montreal; or 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on March 14 in Vancouver. In view of the overwhelming demand for more conference spaces over the past few years, this year's conference will be held in three venues spanning across 3 provinces – the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Sofitel Montreal Hotel in Montreal, Quebec, and the Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. The total number of audience is expected to reach around 500. Students from all over the world may also view the conference online from the live video webcast on RTHK ON INTERNET.
