Entry
Requirements: (i) Undergraduate students in local universities, majoring in
Journalism, Media Studies, Computer Science, Information Technology, Design or Digital Media;
(ii) Relevant skills in web production or basic filming/ editing or webpage design or web system/application development; and
(iii) have completed Form 5 with Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (See the Note).

Terms
of Appointment & Fringe Benefits: Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for not more than one year. Working hours would not exceed 18 hours a week.

Temporary Video News Journalist (Chinese News and Current Affairs Section, Radio Division)

Requirements: Candidates should have
- A Hong Kong degree in Journalism and Communications, Social Science, Languages or equivalent; OR
- A Diploma in Communication or Journalism with at least 2 years’ experience in broadcasting or news gathering.

(Note : (1) Required to work shifts / irregular hours including midnight; (2) Candidates may be required to sit for a trade test.)
Duties: Translating and rewriting wired news; producing video news reports and news-related specials; archiving video footage.
Terms
of Appointment & Fringe Benefits: Successful candidates will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a contract period of about 9 months. If the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct, the officer may be granted a gratuity which, when added together with the Government’s contribution to MPF scheme, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest days, general holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted on terms not less favourable than the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.

Temporary Continuity (Public Affairs Television Division)
(Salary: HK$500 or $700 per session; 9 hours per session)

Entry
Requirements: (a) Form 5 standard with Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent; (b) at least 2 years’ relevant experience; (c) experience in outdoor filming; and (d) preferably with experience as an Assistant Producer/Production Assistant; (e) should be familiar with single camera shooting and film language. (Notes: Applicants may need to attend a skill test.).

Duties: Maintaining log of all shots to ensure all fine details (such as the costumes, actions and expressions of actors and the exact position of props and objects) in each take are matched and recorded;
paying particular attention to in-cue and out-cue of a slot and marking each shot covered in a day of shooting;
acting as an on-site liaison with the production crew and identifying the props for each location to ensure continuity. (Note : Required to work irregular hours/over-night shifts.)

Assistant Engineer (Engineering Team)

Requirements: Candidates should have (a) a Hong Kong degree in electronics/ telecommunication or computer engineering, or computer science or equivalent; and (b) Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See the Note]; and (c) a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in handling engineering projects; and (d) strong at project planning, performance monitoring, and a good knowledge of server-based systems, networking, the latest broadcast technologies and their applications; (e) proficiency in Putonghua and / or additional qualification in information technologies are added advantages.

Duties: (i) assist in broadcast engineering project implementation and in feasibility studies (ii) assist in supervising contractors, including asset management (iii) review technical operations efficiency and reporting; (iv) compile budgets and forecasting; (v) coordinate with internal users and external contractors; and (vi) conduct technical operations research.
